About this project
CodeCheck started as a question: can a phone on a jobsite hold the codebook, the checklist, the photos, and a competent second opinion — without uploading everyone else’s jobs to our computers?
In this version, yes. You set up a profile once. You pick the trade and the kind of inspection — rough-in, before drywall, final walkthrough, a progress check. Each item points at a real section of the code. You take photos. You can ask the AI about what you’re looking at, right there in the item.
Nothing is uploaded to us yet, on purpose. The point of this early version is how far a tool can go when the only thing that leaves the phone is the question you chose to ask.
Why it isn't like the others
What makes it different
Cited, not guessed
Items point at real sections — electrical, plumbing, residential, commercial codes. A fail is a code section, not a red flag with no source.
Photos that can talk back
Take the picture, keep it on the phone, and optionally ask the AI if it sees a code issue. The photo doesn’t go anywhere unless you ask.
Ask in the moment
A question on a single checklist item, or a full chat tab. The assistant knows the job you’re in — the trade, the standard, the item you’re staring at.
On the phone by default
Your profile, your inspections, your photos. A proof that useful AI doesn’t require us to keep a copy of the job.

- This is an early demo, not something you can sign up for yet. A finished version would send the AI question through us, so the AI password isn’t stored on the phone.
