Drive-Thru Order
One order for the whole car, built before you reach the speaker.
About this project
The hard part of a drive-thru isn’t the menu. It’s the car. Someone in the back changes their mind, someone else wants animal style, and you’re the one talking to the speaker.
Drive-Thru Order is a shared list for that minute. Open it, send the link, and each person adds their own. The same item with the same add-ons folds into one line, so you can say “two Double-Doubles” instead of scrolling a group text.
It’s a small web page for easy sharing and ordering. Not affiliated with or endorsed by In-N-Out Burger. An order nobody changes is deleted after 30 days.
Why it isn't like the others
What makes it different
One link for the car
Anyone with the link can add themselves and what they want. You don’t collect the order in a text thread.
The speaker gets one list
Identical items fold together. Two of the same thing reads as two, not two separate notes, and the list is grouped the way you’d actually say it.
It keeps up while you’re typing
Other people’s changes show up within a few seconds. If the connection drops, it keeps trying instead of losing what you just added.
One more thing
A few more details
- Suggestions cover the usual menu, including the off-menu items, and you can still type anything that isn’t on the list.
